We think in pictures, including our self-image. Our minds are always busy, active, moving from thought to thought. Images continually pop into our minds like a movie. Do you see your life unfolding on the screen of your mind as a drama, comedy, horror, documentary, fantasy? What story are you telling? Do you allow other people to dictate who you are, what you do, what you have become? Are you the star of your own movie or in a supporting cast role? Sometimes we go after things we don’t really want because we listen to media and others around us that tell us what we should enjoy and appreciate. Don’t let other people destroy your dream or direct your movie.
Do you consider yourself the most valuable person in your life? If you do not value, love and appreciate yourself you cannot truly value, love and appreciate other people. If you feel good about yourself you can see the good in others. Are you creating a life that you love or just getting by? Choose a better attitude about your own self worth.
Write and direct your own life script, a better script. Act as if you are the person you want to become and you will see your life unfolding as you want it to. You be in control of you. If you don’t like the current circumstances, your role, you can change the plot and rewrite the ending to your story. No one else is responsible for the results in your life but you. Does that sound harsh? Sit back and think about where you are and how you got there. There is something within you that wants to come forward.
