Do you have an image in your mind of what you want your life to look like one year from now? How will you get there? If you don’t change your habitual way of thinking you won’t reach your ideal image. You can turn your fantasy into reality; it starts with a committed decision to do whatever it takes. It starts inside each one of us.
Every great achievement started with an idea in someone’s mind. The great advances in society started with an idea in a person’s mind that society perceived to be crazy or impossible. We would not be able to fly to a holiday destination without the Wright brothers’ crazy dream that man could fly.
Take inspired action to work on yourself. It is the only way to create change. If you are in a rut, wishing and praying won’t get you out. A commitment to yourself and to the better image that you hold in your mind of what you want your life to be like is the first step.
We have 60-80,000 thoughts per day! Many people have programmed negative thoughts. The thoughts you think and the stories you tell yourself get stronger with every telling. Repetition strengthens the neural pathways in your brain. Are your thoughts creating deeper ruts of negativity? Stop the madness!
There is a better way of thinking. Reprogram your thoughts and change your automatic thoughts to improve your life. That is the meaning of the term ‘change your thoughts, change your life’.
There will be tough days. There will be times you want to throw in the towel. There will be times you want to give up. Never give up! Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal.
When you are in love with an idea, with a new way of living, you will be able to do much more, and will have more fun in the process. There are brilliant people with degrees that cannot find satisfying work. There are functionally illiterate people running multinational businesses. Why is that? We create our reality starting in our minds and the way we talk to ourselves. Nothing changes unless you change.
I left my career where I felt the job duties were sucking the soul out of me. I love my life now! If I can do it you can do it. Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Do you want freedom from mentally unhealthy ways of looking at your life and the world around you? Leave behind the ‘Groundhog Day’ way of thinking and doing. Condition your thoughts to love your life, love what you do, love who you are becoming!
